Coffee Table Shadow Box (Red Oak and Bubinga)

dsc03578.jpg

It’s been about two weeks since we started this project. Finally, minus the glass (ordering tomorrow), it’s completed. This thing is made from solid Red Oak (1″ thick) and Bubinga. I haven’t weighed it, but I would guess it weighs about 125lbs, maybe more. We spent the majority of our time sanding, but the end product is beautiful. It looks a whole lot better in person! The drawer slides out to reveal three sectioned off display areas. Chuck is going to use it to display his 26 years of faithful and honorable service to the Marines Corps, I will post more pictures with the display set up as soon as we are done setting it up. If anyone wants info on this table please use the contact me area of this blog. Semper Fi Chuck and thanks to all that look.
